Marie Bouzkova enters this US Open second-round matchup as the clear favorite against Harriet Dart, reflecting her No. 26 ranking versus Dart’s No. 131 and superior hard-court results. Bouzkova arrives with consistent recent form, including a first-round straight-sets win over Elsa Jacquemot and strong hard-court performances throughout 2026, while Dart advanced via qualifying and upset Peyton Stearns in round one. Their lone prior meeting came on grass at Eastbourne in 2024, where Dart prevailed in three sets, but this marks their first hard-court encounter on a surface favoring Bouzkova’s baseline consistency and experience in best-of-three matches. Trader consensus aligns with Bouzkova’s higher ranking, title pedigree, and hard-court edge heading into the September 3 contest.
