Lucia Bronzetti enters US Open qualifying as the clear favorite against Luisina Giovannini due to her higher WTA ranking (No. 116 vs. No. 183), greater experience in Grand Slam qualifiers, and solid recent form on multiple surfaces. The 27-year-old Italian reached a career-high of No. 46 and holds a strong overall record, including prior main-draw appearances at the US Open. Giovannini, a 19-year-old Argentine with a career-high of No. 161, has compiled strong ITF results primarily on clay but limited hard-court exposure and recent losses in higher-level qualifiers. The pair has no prior head-to-head, and the match on outdoor hard courts at Court 11 favors the veteran’s consistency and ranking edge.
