Lucia Bronzetti enters this WTA 125 Antalya clay-court opener as the clear favorite against Irene Burillo Escorihuela, reflecting her higher ranking (No. 135 vs. No. 235) and stronger 2026 record of roughly 33-24. Bronzetti has posted a solid clay win rate this season and reached multiple challenger semifinals and finals earlier in the summer, while Burillo has compiled a comparable clay-heavy ledger at ITF level with recent wins in Leipzig and Targu Mures but fewer results against top-150 opponents. Both players favor clay, yet Bronzetti’s superior ranking points, head-to-head absence, and consistent recent form underpin the market’s implied probability favoring the Italian. Late scratches or weather on outdoor clay remain the main variables that could shift outcomes.
