This market will resolve to "Yes" if Enes Kanter Freedom (formerly known as Enes Kanter) is drafted in the 2027 WNBA Draft. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If the 2027 WNBA Draft is cancelled, postponed after May 1, 2027, or the results of the draft cannot be confirmed in this timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the WNBA, or announcements from specific WNBA teams, however a consensus of credible reporting may be used.
Enes Kanter Freedom, a 6-foot-10 former NBA center, officially declared for the 2027 WNBA Draft in August 2026 as a protest against self-identification policies on trans athletes. The WNBA's collective bargaining agreement restricts eligibility to women only, and league leadership has reaffirmed this standard in response to the declaration and similar moves by Royce White. Traders assign overwhelming probability to "No" because Kanter remains a biological male with no qualifying path under current rules, and the announcement appears designed to highlight rather than satisfy those criteria. While a major policy reversal or eligibility overhaul before the April 2027 draft could theoretically alter the outcome, no such shift has materialized in official communications or recent developments.
