Western teams' recent international results and the expanded 2026 Worlds format underpin the 95.7% implied probability for at least one Bo5 victory over LCK, LPL, or LCP sides. G2 Esports has posted Bo5 wins against Gen.G at First Stand and T1 at MSI, while other LEC and LCS rosters show improved macro execution and individual talent matching Eastern standards. The Swiss stage draw pits top Western seeds against varied Eastern pools, multiplying high-stakes series opportunities beyond historical knockout barriers. Play-In results and prior events like MSI highlight narrowing gaps in draft adaptability and late-game execution. Even with LCK and LPL favorites dominating power rankings, the volume of potential matchups makes a clean Eastern sweep in Bo5 improbable. Late roster adjustments, patch shifts, or bracket luck could still prevent the outcome if Western sides draw repeated tough paths or suffer early eliminations.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if a Western team beats a team from the LCK, LPL, or LCP in a best-of-five series during the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), currently scheduled for October 15 to November 14, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. Only best-of-five series count toward this market; best-of-one and best-of-three matches, tiebreakers, and showmatches do not count. A team beats another team in a best-of-five series only if it wins the series (three game wins); individual game wins within a series that the team loses do not count. Play-In Stage series count toward this market, as do Knockout Stage series. If the results of Worlds 2026 are not determined by November 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.
