Texas teams maintain near-even odds in this combined market due to competitive parity across both the NFL and college ranks. The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans sit at mid-tier records through early 2026 with capable quarterbacks in Dak Prescott and C.J. Stroud, yet trail Super Bowl favorites like the Rams and Bills in futures pricing amid defensive inconsistencies and tough schedules. On the college side, the Texas Longhorns rank among the top 10 in 2027 national title markets behind programs such as Ohio State and Georgia, bolstered by SEC experience and recruiting but tested by conference depth, while Texas A&M remains in rebuild mode. Roster health, draft outcomes, and late-season momentum for either level could shift implied probabilities, as could sustained injuries or unexpected conference dominance by non-Texas squads.

Rules

This market will resolve to "Yes" if a team from the state of Texas wins the 2027 NFL championship game (scheduled for February 14, 2027) or the 2027 College Football Playoff National Championship Game (scheduled for January 25, 2027). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The NFL teams from the state of Texas are the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans. The FBS teams from the state of Texas are Baylor, Houston, North Texas, Rice, Sam Houston, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas Tech, UTEP, and UTSA. If at any point it becomes impossible for every one of these teams to win its respective championship game, this market will resolve to "No". If both championship games are cancelled, postponed after March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or no champion has been declared in either game within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". If only one of the two games is played and decided within that timeframe, this market will resolve according to that game. The primary resolution sources will be official information from the NFL (https://www.nfl.com/) and the College Football Playoff (https://collegefootballplayoff.com); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
