Both the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans enter the second half of the 2026 NFL season at 2-4, limiting their realistic paths to the playoffs and a Super Bowl run. The Cowboys sit third in the NFC East with defensive rankings near the bottom of the league and a projected 8-9 finish, while the Texans hold third place in the AFC South despite back-to-back wins and rank outside the top seven in conference standings. Stronger contenders across both conferences—including the undefeated Vikings and Chiefs, plus the 49ers and Bills—reflect deeper rosters, better recent form, and higher implied probabilities in futures markets. Texas teams face challenging remaining schedules and would need substantial improvement plus favorable breaks to overcome these deficits and reach the 2027 championship game.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Dallas Cowboys or the Houston Texans win the 2027 NFL Super Bowl (the championship game of the 2026-27 NFL season, scheduled for February 14, 2027). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for both the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans to win the 2027 NFL Super Bowl (e.g., both teams have been eliminated), this market will resolve to "No". If the 2027 NFL championship game is cancelled, postponed after March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or no champion has been declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL (https://www.nfl.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
