This market will resolve to "Yes" if Donald Trump or the Trump administration announces a new White House Press Secretary to replace Karoline Leavitt between market creation and the specified date at 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". An individual announced as an acting or interim Press Secretary will not qualify toward this market's resolution. Any qualifying announcement made within this market's time frame will count, regardless of when the new Press Secretary is sworn in or begins serving. This market's primary resolution source will be official information from the Trump administration; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Karoline Leavitt’s announced departure as White House press secretary at the end of August 2026, to focus on family while remaining an outside adviser, has focused trader attention on the timing of any replacement announcement. A senior administration official indicated Trump intends to name a successor but sees no urgency, with some reporting suggesting the process could extend past the November midterm elections. Potential internal candidates including Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly and others have surfaced in media speculation, yet no formal selection or timeline has been confirmed. Traders weigh the administration’s preference for continuity during a politically active period against the typical pace of cabinet-level personnel decisions in the current term.
