Netflix is expected to update its global Top 10 movies list on top10.netflix.com on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, 3:00 PM ET, reflecting viewership from the previous week (Monday to Sunday). This market will resolve based on which movie this update ranks as the #2 global Netflix movie. Movies will be primarily ranked by chart ranking. If two or more movies are tied on chart ranking, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the movies' listed titles. This market will resolve to the movie that occupies the second-highest finishing position after applying this ranking. The ranking is based on total views globally, as reported by Netflix for Global Top 10 Movies (English only). If the top10.netflix.com update does not occur by August 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".
The Last House dominates trader sentiment for the #2 global Netflix movie this week, driven by its strong second-week performance following the August 7 release. The Louis Leterrier-directed sci-fi thriller, starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura as parents trapped with their children amid a mysterious catastrophe, posted 33.5 million views in its debut tracking period and continues to benefit from broad critical discussion around its claustrophobic premise and high-concept execution. Newer entries like Don’t Say Good Luck have posted solid but lower debuts around 8 million views, while holdovers such as Extinction and Arthur the King trail further behind on the English film charts. With weekly updates locking in positions soon and historical patterns showing original thrillers sustaining momentum into week two, market-implied odds reflect the film’s current lead in viewership data and promotional visibility over fresher competition.
