Coco Gauff enters the 2026 US Open on strong hard-court form after capturing the Cincinnati title with a final victory over Jessica Pegula, boosting her profile among players eyeing quarterfinal berths. Aryna Sabalenka, the defending champion and world No. 1, arrives after inconsistent results including a Cincinnati semifinal loss, while Elena Rybakina carries fitness concerns following her retirement there. Iga Swiatek and other top seeds like Mirra Andreeva and Linda Noskova remain in contention amid an open draw expected after the August 27 ceremony. Recent summer results, injury updates, and surface-specific records shape trader views on which competitors advance from the 128-player field to the final eight.
