Waldo Cortes-Acosta enters as the higher-ranked heavyweight (No. 6) seeking to snap a two-fight losing skid after unanimous decision defeats to Alexander Volkov and Curtis Blaydes. The Dominican pressure fighter has never been finished in the UFC, relying on volume striking, durability, and power that produced stoppage wins over Derrick Lewis and others. Johnny Walker, returning to the main event on short notice after his October heavyweight debut knockout of Mick Parkin, brings a significant height and reach edge plus unorthodox striking that has produced early finishes throughout his career. Both fighters accepted the five-round headliner after Sean Brady’s withdrawal, creating a quick turnaround that highlights conditioning concerns. The matchup pits Cortes-Acosta’s sustained output against Walker’s explosiveness and finish rate in a division where one moment can shift outcomes.
