The tightly bunched probabilities for second place in the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League reflect an open league-phase format where multiple clubs can build points through favorable fixtures and squad rotation. Liverpool’s 20.5% implied probability edges the field due to strong domestic form and European experience, while Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain sit within a narrow range behind, supported by recent match results and roster depth. Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and others remain within striking distance because early-season injuries, travel demands, and head-to-head results have yet to separate the contenders decisively. This balance leaves realistic paths open for several teams to climb the table before knockout stages begin.
This market will resolve according to the team that finishes as runner-up of the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to finish as runner-up of the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League per the rules of UEFA Champions League (e.g., they are eliminated before the final, or they win the final), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League season is cancelled, postponed after June 19, 2027, 11:59 PM ET or the final is otherwise not played within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be official information from UEFA Champions League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
