Travis Kelce enters the middle of the 2026 NFL season with 20 receptions for 299 yards and two touchdowns across five games for the undefeated Chiefs, averaging 15.0 yards per catch while ranking among the top tight ends in PFF receiving grade. At 37, the veteran has maintained a consistent role in Patrick Mahomes’ passing attack, highlighted by a 101-yard outing in Week 2, though a recent ankle tweak against the Chargers prompted brief sideline attention before he returned to finish with 53 yards. Coach Andy Reid indicated the injury is not serious, with Kelce expected to manage soreness. The upcoming schedule features a road matchup at Seattle and divisional games that could influence target volume, while the team’s offensive efficiency and lack of major receiving threats continue to support his usage as a reliable red-zone and short-to-intermediate option.
