Darline Graham Nordone holds a commanding lead in the August 25 special Republican primary runoff for South Carolina's U.S. Senate seat, driving trader consensus that she will carry Horry County. Appointed by Gov. Henry McMaster to finish her late brother Lindsey Graham's term, she topped the August 11 primary field with strong name recognition, Trump endorsement, and super PAC support. Ralph Norman, a sitting U.S. representative, trails significantly after finishing second in the initial vote. Horry County's early voting sites and Republican-leaning electorate align with her broader statewide momentum. While a Norman upset remains possible if turnout favors his congressional district base or late developments shift voter preferences, current evidence points to limited realistic paths for him to prevail in the county.
