Early in the 2026 NFL season, the QBR leaderboard remains fluid with Brock Purdy, Bryce Young, Patrick Mahomes, and Lamar Jackson atop recent ESPN rankings after multiple weeks of play. Purdy leads with elite efficiency metrics including high completion rates and touchdown totals, while Jackson, Mahomes, and others post strong adjusted EPA and passer ratings amid varied offensive schemes and supporting casts. Trader consensus around 37-42% for these names reflects the absence of a clear frontrunner through roughly six weeks, compounded by schedule strength, injury risks, and the 17-game grind that favors consistency over hot starts. Lower odds for emerging options like Drake Maye and Joe Burrow highlight how weekly performances and roster health continue to shift implied probabilities in this wide-open race.
