Patrick Mahomes stands as the clear frontrunner in the 2026-27 AP Comeback Player of the Year market due to his recovery from a torn ACL suffered late in the 2025 season, during which the Chiefs missed the playoffs and his passing numbers hit career lows. Traders see strong implied probability in his return to form as the Chiefs' franchise quarterback, bolstered by early 2026 regular-season contributions. Kyler Murray, Malik Nabers, Tua Tagovailoa, Daniel Jones, and Michael Penix Jr. trail with lower odds tied to their respective injury recoveries, roster changes, or prior performance dips, though each carries realistic bounce-back potential in a quarterback-heavy award historically. Market pricing reflects consensus on Mahomes' established track record and situational advantages heading into the campaign.
This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 Associated Press (AP) NFL Comeback Player of the Year award for the 2026-27 NFL season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by NFL rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026-27 NFL season is cancelled, postponed after February 28, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
