Early in the 2026-27 Premier League campaign, after just six or seven matchweeks, the bottom of the table remains tightly bunched with several clubs on single-digit points and separated by minimal goal difference. Promoted sides such as Hull City, Coventry City, and Ipswich Town sit among the lowest-ranked teams alongside established clubs like Tottenham, Sunderland, Nottingham Forest, Fulham, and Bournemouth, each hampered by inconsistent results, defensive vulnerabilities, and limited scoring output. With more than 30 fixtures remaining, recent form, squad depth, and fixture difficulty continue to shape the picture, leaving ample room for shifts in standing. This uncertainty underpins the clustered implied probabilities across multiple outcomes in the last-place market, as traders price in the wide range of plausible paths to the bottom three.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club finishes in last place (20th) in the final standings of the 2026-27 English Premier League (EPL) season. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish in last place in the 2026-27 English Premier League (EPL) season (e.g., they are mathematically guaranteed to finish above 20th), this market will resolve to "No". In the event of a tie for last place, this market will resolve based on the club officially recognized by the Premier League as finishing in 20th place. If multiple clubs are officially recognized as finishing in last place, this market will resolve to the club whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026-27 English Premier League (EPL) season is cancelled, postponed after June 13, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no last-place club declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be official information from the Premier League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
