The Los Angeles Rams, at 4-4 after consecutive victories over the Raiders and Chargers, carry momentum into their Week 9 matchup at the 2-4-1 Washington Commanders, seeking their first season above .500 and a firmer hold in the NFC playoff picture. Matthew Stafford’s reported arm soreness and the absence of Davante Adams, along with Myles Garrett and Trent McDuffie on the injury report, have forced adjustments toward a stronger ground attack featuring Kyren Williams and Puka Nacua in the passing game. The Commanders, buoyed by Jayden Daniels’ first win in over a year against Philadelphia, lean on his dual-threat ability but face depth issues at wide receiver and running back. Los Angeles ranks among the league’s top defenses in EPA allowed, giving traders reason to view the Rams as clear favorites in this interconference contest despite both sides dealing with roster attrition.
