This market will resolve to the next individual who officially assumes the office of Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina by July 31, 2028, 11:59 PM ET. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally appointed by the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Chairman of the Council of Ministers takes office by July 31, 2028, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s October 2026 general elections and subsequent government formation process keep the contest for the next chair of the Council of Ministers tightly balanced among leading candidates from major parties. Ethnic and entity-based power-sharing rules require cross-community consensus, with SNSD and HDZ BiH leaders recently reaffirming their partnership while weighing potential third partners such as SDA or the Troika grouping. Incumbent ministers including Srđan Amidžić, Zukan Helez, and others hold prominent positions in the current Krišto cabinet, yet no single contender has secured a decisive edge ahead of coalition talks. Trader prices reflect this uncertainty, with top probabilities clustered closely and subject to shifts from election results, parliamentary vote counts, or last-minute negotiations on EU-related reforms and institutional appointments.
