UTSA leads the American Athletic Conference at 3-0 in league play with a 6-1 overall record, positioning the Roadrunners as the frontrunner for one of the two spots in the December 5 championship game. North Texas sits at 2-0 while Army holds a 3-1 mark, with Memphis and UAB also at 2-1; these teams control their paths through strong recent conference results and favorable remaining schedules. Key upcoming matchups include UTSA at Tulane, North Texas at Navy, and East Carolina at Memphis, where wins will directly shape final standings. Conference play features no divisions, so tiebreakers and head-to-head outcomes among the top group will determine qualifiers, with UTSA’s early dominance and bowl eligibility already secured giving it a measurable edge in trader consensus.
