UTSA, North Texas, and Memphis sit atop the 2026 American Athletic Conference standings with identical or near-identical 4-0 or 4-1 conference marks and strong overall records entering November. UTSA’s balanced attack and defense have produced a five-game win streak, while North Texas relies on a high-powered offense featuring the nation’s leading rusher. Memphis has shown offensive firepower behind its quarterback but carries one conference loss. The race remains tight because the remaining schedule includes a pivotal November 14 clash between UTSA and North Texas, plus other winnable games for each contender. Trader consensus reflects these comparable strengths, recent form, and the absence of a dominant team.
