Group assignments for the Emirates NBA Cup 2026 place teams into six five-team pods based on 2025-26 standings, with each squad playing four group games on designated Cup nights beginning October 30. The six group winners plus one wild-card team per conference advance to the single-elimination knockout rounds starting December 4. Early betting markets highlight the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs as the strongest implied favorites to advance and contend, reflecting their recent regular-season and playoff performance. Roster continuity, injury reports entering the 2026-27 campaign, and group matchups—such as the loaded East Group B featuring the Knicks and 76ers—will shape advancement odds as group play unfolds through late November.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Philadelphia 76ers reach the Knockout Rounds of the 2026 NBA Cup. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Eight teams reach the Knockout Rounds: the six group winners and the second-place team from each conference with the best group-play record, as determined by the NBA under the 2026 NBA Cup rules and tiebreakers. If at any point it becomes impossible for the Philadelphia 76ers to reach the Knockout Rounds of the 2026 NBA Cup (e.g. they are mathematically eliminated), this market will resolve to "No". If the 2026 NBA Cup is cancelled, postponed after December 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the teams reaching the Knockout Rounds have not been determined within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NBA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
