The 2026-27 NBA MVP market reflects a wide-open race entering the season, with Victor Wembanyama holding the highest implied probability at 24.5% followed closely by LeBron James at 23.6% and Anthony Davis at 21.8%. Multiple established stars such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Donovan Mitchell, and Tyrese Haliburton sit in the 19-21% range, while a long tail of contenders including Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, and Nikola Jokic linger between 7-11%. This tight clustering stems from strong prior-season performances, roster continuity, and limited early injury news, leaving traders without a clear frontrunner until regular-season form and team success clarify the field.
This market will resolve to the player who wins the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the 2026-27 NBA regular season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by NBA rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026-27 NBA regular season is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NBA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
