In the upcoming MLB game between the Tampa Bay Rays and Baltimore Orioles, scheduled for August 23 at 1:35PM ET: This market will resolve to "Tampa Bay Rays" if the Tampa Bay Rays win the game. This market will resolve to "Baltimore Orioles" if the Baltimore Orioles win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.
Tampa Bay Rays hold first place in the AL East at 76-52 or 76-53 while visiting the last-place Baltimore Orioles, who sit around 62-67 and trail by more than 13 games. The Rays recently endured a skid of seven losses in nine games after an earlier win streak was snapped by Baltimore in mid-August at Tropicana Field. Probable starters for the August 23 contest at Camden Yards include Rays right-hander Nick Martinez against Orioles right-hander Shane Baz. Tampa Bay continues to manage multiple injuries on the 15- and 60-day IL, notably relievers Manuel Rodriguez, Cole Sulser, and Griffin Jax plus outfielder Jake Fraley, which has thinned depth in the bullpen and lineup. Home-field factors at Oriole Park and Baltimore's recent series success against the Rays provide the primary counterbalance to the visitors' superior record and divisional standing.
