In the upcoming MLB game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals, scheduled for August 29 at 2:15PM ET: This market will resolve to "Pittsburgh Pirates" if the Pittsburgh Pirates win the game. This market will resolve to "St. Louis Cardinals" if the St. Louis Cardinals win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.
The Pirates (65-71) and Cardinals (68-68) meet at Busch Stadium with both clubs well back in the NL Central standings and focused on development amid September roster decisions. St. Louis enters after a 4-1 home win the prior night, powered by rookie Quinn Mathews’ first MLB victory and strong bullpen work. Saturday’s probable matchup pits Pirates right-hander Lake Bachar (1-3, 3.70 ERA) against Cardinals right-hander Kyle Leahy (10-4, 3.13 ERA), whose command and recent results have drawn market attention. Multiple injuries on both sides—Pittsburgh’s Mitch Keller and Endy Rodríguez, St. Louis’ Masyn Winn—have thinned lineups and altered bullpen depth. Pittsburgh’s offense has managed limited runs on the current road trip, while the Cardinals seek to build on home momentum and recent series success against their division rival.
