Yankees host the Red Sox to open a four-game series at Yankee Stadium with significant AL East and wild-card implications. New York enters around 75-58, three-and-a-half games behind Tampa Bay but ahead of Boston (73-60), and holds the edge in recent form with a stronger overall pitching staff. Cam Schlittler (11-6, 2.16 ERA) starts against Patrick Sandoval (1-2, 4.54 ERA), giving the home side a clear advantage on the mound despite multiple Yankees absences including Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. Boston’s offense has shown inconsistency lately while facing a bullpen that has stabilized. Traders price the Yankees as clear favorites, reflecting home-field edge, the pitching mismatch, and the clubs’ respective positions in the standings.
