This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the LaGuardia Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 24 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=klga This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
Clear skies and moderate west winds overnight are positioning the daily minimum temperature in New York City for August 24, 2026, in the mid-60s, with National Weather Service and private forecasts converging on 65–67°F. Sunny conditions and falling humidity after Sunday’s showers have enabled efficient radiative cooling under mostly clear skies, while light southwest-to-west flow prevents significant advection of warmer air. Central Park and airport observations the prior evening, combined with model guidance, support a low near 66°F as the most probable outcome, aligning with the highest market-implied probabilities for the 66–67°F and 68–69°F bins. Urban heat-island effects and seasonal norms (historical August minima typically 65–68°F) further anchor expectations, with only minor upside risk if winds remain slightly stronger or if any residual cloud cover lingers. No major forecast revisions have emerged in the latest model runs, keeping trader consensus tightly clustered around these ranges ahead of final overnight observations.
