The early weeks of the 2026-27 Ligue 1 season have left the assists race unusually open, with no player establishing clear dominance and multiple creators posting modest tallies. Florian Thauvin leads with five or six assists for Lens, followed closely by Cristian Cásseres Jr. on five for Toulouse, while established names such as Ousmane Dembélé, Vitinha, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia sit on two or fewer. This distribution, combined with strong showings from midfielders like Corentin Tolisso and Georges Mikautadze plus wide options including Jonathan Clauss and Igor Paixão, keeps implied probabilities tightly bunched around 45-50 percent for a wide field. Trader consensus reflects the season’s youth, variable team tactics, and the potential for any consistent creator to surge as matches accumulate.
This market will resolve to the player who records the most assists during the 2026-27 Ligue 1 season. Only assists recorded in Ligue 1 matches will count. Assists in other competitions (e.g., domestic cups, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League, international matches) will not count for this market. If multiple players tie for the most assists, this market will resolve to the tied player who completed more passes during the 2026-27 Ligue 1 season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player whose last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026-27 Ligue 1 season is canceled or not completed by June 14, 2027, the market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be official statistics from Ligue 1. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
