Radka Zelnickova, the higher-ranked Slovak at around No. 349 and third seed, meets Italian Federica Sacco (No. 647) in the first round of the ITF W35 Trieste on clay. Zelnickova enters with a stronger 2026 win rate and more consistent ITF results on the surface, while Sacco has posted mixed recent form including losses in Romanian clay events but benefits from home-country support and familiarity with the conditions. Their head-to-head stands at 1-1, though both prior meetings occurred on hard courts. The matchup favors Zelnickova on paper due to ranking and seeding, yet Sacco’s clay experience and local edge keep the contest competitive in this lower-tier professional event.
