Yidi Yang holds a ranking edge at approximately world No. 363-364 over Peangtarn Plipuech’s No. 753, yet the Thai veteran leads their head-to-head 2-0 on hard courts, including a straight-sets win in their most recent 2022 encounter. Both players compete regularly on the ITF circuit with solid hard-court records, and recent Tianjin-series results show mixed form for each—Plipuech advanced through early rounds with decisive victories before a loss, while Yang posted a win and loss in the prior event. At 33, Plipuech brings greater experience and ITF title pedigree against the 26-year-old Chinese player’s stronger current ranking and recent domestic results. The best-of-three format on outdoor hard courts in Tianjin favors consistent serving and return play, with no reported injuries or withdrawals altering the draw. Trader consensus reflects this tight matchup between ranking and historical edge.
