Xing Dao Chen enters this ITF M15 Maanshan 7 Men round-of-16 clash on indoor hard courts holding a recent head-to-head edge after defeating Zhiheng Xia 6-4, 6-1 in a prior 2026 edition of the same Chinese event. Chen has shown stronger recent form through consistent qualifier wins and deeper runs on the domestic ITF circuit, while Xia has posted mixed results with straight-set losses to higher-ranked locals like Ye Hongyu. Both players share similar low-level rankings and experience on hard surfaces, creating a closely contested matchup where serve consistency, return pressure, and fitness over best-of-three sets will likely decide the outcome in the absence of major injury concerns.
