Eric Vanshelboim enters the M25 Oldenzaal semifinal as the clear market favorite against Daniel Verbeek on clay, reflecting his higher ranking near world No. 421 and stronger overall record. The Ukrainian has posted consistent results this summer on the surface, including a title at M25 Gandia and strong showings in Spanish M15 events, while advancing through the Oldenzaal draw with wins over Majdandzic, Bozemoj, and De Lange. Verbeek, a 22-year-old Dutch player ranked outside the top 1700, has benefited from home-soil momentum with three victories to reach the semifinals but faces a sizable gap in experience and clay-court proficiency. Vanshelboim’s serve-return balance and recent 70% win rate in the prior 10 matches underpin trader consensus, though Verbeek’s local support and recent three-set resilience remain factors in an otherwise lopsided matchup.
