Maiko Uchijima enters the ITF W15 Tianjin 3 Women qualifying match as the clear favorite, holding roughly 72% implied probability on prediction markets, driven by her straight-sets victory over Jasmine Li in the prior round and stronger recent hard-court results. The 22-year-old Japanese player faces 20-year-old Russian Alisa Vasileva, ranked near WTA No. 1080 with a mixed 8-11 record this season and recent wins over lower-tier opponents like Zihan Yang in the same event. Both compete on outdoor hard courts in an early-round ITF 15k draw where recent form and direct experience in the tournament shape outcomes more than historical head-to-head data. Vasileva’s youth offers some upset potential in best-of-three sets, though the market pricing reflects Uchijima’s edge in consistency and momentum heading into the August 18 contest.
