Nitin Kumar Sinha enters the ITF M25 Taipei qualifying draw as the clear favorite against local Chun-Chien Hou on outdoor hard courts, reflecting a substantial ATP ranking gap of roughly 670 spots and Sinha’s stronger recent results at this level. The 27-year-old Indian right-hander arrives after a straight-sets victory in his opening qualifier and maintains a career-high ranking near 774, giving him superior experience in extended rallies and serve consistency. Hou, a 20-year-old Taiwanese player ranked around 1560, has shown limited success in recent ITF events and faces an uphill task despite any home-crowd support. No prior head-to-head meetings exist, so surface-specific form, physical freshness after short turnarounds, and break-point conversion rates will likely determine whether the higher-ranked player advances or an upset materializes in this best-of-three encounter.
