Tai Leonard Sach, the higher-ranked Australian at world No. 518, faces Mukund Sasikumar in the opening round of the ITF M25 Taipei 2 on outdoor hard courts. The 23-year-old has posted recent wins over local players in the Taipei swing, including victories over Ho and Cho, while showing solid hard-court results across Australian and Asian ITF events this season. Sasikumar, a 29-year-old Indian ranked No. 607 with a career-high of No. 229, brings greater experience and a historically strong hard-court record but enters with mixed 2026 results, including qualifier wins in Astana followed by losses. No prior head-to-head exists, leaving surface consistency, recent match volume on hard, and age-related stamina as primary variables in this closely matched lower-tier encounter.
