Rares Teodor Pieleanu enters the M15 Bucharest 3 clay-court match as the stronger favorite due to superior recent form and home-country advantage. The 19-year-old Romanian (ATP ~763) captured the M15 Curtea de Arges 2 title in early August with dominant wins and reached the M15 Targu Jiu semifinals before a loss, compiling an 11-7 clay record in 2026 while winning nine of his last ten opening sets. He opened this event with a 6-1, 6-2 victory. Anas Mazdrashki, the 20-year-old Bulgarian (ATP ~828), advanced past Stefan Ilie Petre 6-3, 7-5 in the first round after overcoming early deficits but carries a more mixed 2026 clay ledger with several early exits. The players have no prior head-to-head history; both compete on a surface suiting their recent schedules, though Pieleanu’s momentum and local support shape the prevailing trader consensus around the higher-ranked Romanian.
