Ana Candiotto, the sixth seed and higher-ranked player at approximately No. 466, enters the W35 Barueri second round on hard courts after a straight-sets opening win, while 18-year-old Carolina Bohrer Martins arrives on a six-match winning streak capped by her first professional title at the preceding W15 Campos do Jordão event on the same surface. Bohrer, ranked around No. 689, has shown strong recent form in Brazilian hard-court events, including multiple victories over similarly ranked opponents. Their limited prior head-to-head favors Candiotto from a 2023 clay-court meeting, yet Bohrer’s current momentum and home-country support create a competitive dynamic in this ITF-level singles matchup. Both Brazilians have demonstrated solid recent results in regional tournaments, with outcomes likely influenced by serving consistency and adaptation to the Alphaville hard courts.
