Karolina Kozakova enters the W35 Verbier first-round clay-court matchup as the clear market favorite due to her higher career ranking, with a WTA high of 736 and strong junior pedigree, compared to Emma Mazzoni’s current singles standing near 1364. The Swiss player’s recent college experience and limited 2026 results position her ahead on paper, while the 27-year-old Mazzoni has posted modest ITF outcomes, including qualifying wins but few deep runs. Outdoor clay conditions favor consistent baseline play, where Kozakova’s edge in ranking and potential home support shapes trader pricing. First-round ITF encounters can feature variance from early-match adjustments or form fluctuations, leaving limited room for Mazzoni to capitalize on any inconsistencies.
