Chenting Zhu holds the edge in recent form entering the W15 Yeongwol quarterfinal on outdoor hard courts. The 18-year-old Chinese player, ranked around 700, has posted a stronger 2026 record with multiple wins in Tianjin and other ITF events, including straight-set victories over several opponents and competitive showings against higher-ranked foes. Yujin Kim, the 21-year-old Korean ranked near 900 with a career-high of 766, has compiled a mixed hard-court record this season, highlighted by a three-set win and a retirement victory in Yeongwol but offset by early exits elsewhere. No prior singles head-to-head exists between them. Home-crowd support and familiarity with Korean conditions could bolster Kim, yet Zhu’s higher win rate and recent momentum on the surface shape the current trader consensus around a competitive but slightly favored matchup for the younger player. Resolution hinges on the completed match score.
