Jiangxue Han and Meng Yi Chen, both low-ranked Chinese players around WTA 870, meet on outdoor hard courts in the ITF W15 Tianjin 4. Chen holds a strong head-to-head edge, defeating Han in straight sets multiple times, including a 6-4, 6-1 win on August 18 in the prior Tianjin event. Chen enters with momentum from a deep run in W15 Tianjin 3, reaching the final after victories over Han, Dabin Kim, Sijia Wei, and Sunam Jeong, though she fell to Rinko Matsuda. Han’s 2026 singles record stands at just 4-11, reflecting inconsistent results and limited success on hard courts this season. The surface and recent matchups favor Chen’s experience in these events.
