Aljaz Jeran (Slovenia, age 22, ATP ~1000-1020) faces Andrea De Marchi (Italy, age 19, ATP ~687/ITF ~615) in the round of 16 of the ITF M25 Maribor on outdoor clay. Jeran, a local player with a solid clay-court record (roughly 57-63% win rate across recent seasons and strong home-soil results in Slovenian M15/M25 events), enters with mixed 2026 form around 30-17 overall. De Marchi arrives with stronger momentum, including multiple deep runs and titles at M15 level plus consistent clay results (20-10 range in 2026), and he comfortably won his opening match here 6-2, 6-2. No prior head-to-head exists; De Marchi’s higher ranking and recent results position him as the consensus favorite in trader pricing, while Jeran’s familiarity with the surface and venue offers the main counterbalancing factor. Resolution hinges on confirmed pre-match lineups with no reported injuries or withdrawals.
