Filip Pieczonka, the 22-year-old Polish left-hander ranked around 1200, holds local advantage on the M25 Poznan clay courts where he has secured straight-set wins in his opening two matches. Gerard Campana Lee, the higher-ranked Korean-born player at No. 534 with a career clay record above .500, arrives after a busy schedule that includes recent Challenger and ITF clay events across Europe. Return stats favor Pieczonka on second-serve points won, while both competitors display comparable baseline consistency. The quarterfinal features limited head-to-head history and emphasizes recent tournament momentum alongside surface familiarity over ranking differentials.
