Yaroslav Demin holds the edge in the ITF M25 Santander clay-court matchup against Carles Hernandez, entering as the higher-ranked player at approximately No. 674 versus Hernandez’s No. 766. Demin’s career-high ranking of 624 and prior 6-3, 6-3 head-to-head victory provide a clear baseline, while his recent hard-court and clay results show competitive form against similar-level opponents. Hernandez, aged 25, has posted mixed outcomes on clay this season, including a recent three-set loss, though his experience in Spanish ITF events offers some home-surface familiarity. Both players’ records reflect the typical volatility of lower-tier professional tennis, where ranking gaps can narrow quickly on slower surfaces due to extended rallies and physical demands. The match resolution hinges on first-set execution and adaptation to conditions.
