Andrey Chepelev, the higher-ranked Russian left-hander (around ATP 350-370), brings greater experience and recent clay-court consistency into the M25 Lausanne first-round matchup against 20-year-old Ukrainian Tymur Bieldiugin (ranked near 1,580-1,600). Chepelev posted multiple wins in August M25 events on clay before a loss in the Sion Challenger, while Bieldiugin has shown flashes with wins in M25 Ueberlingen but carries a weaker overall 2026 record and lower-level results. Both players compete on their preferred surface, yet Chepelev’s deeper professional resume, left-handed serve angles, and stronger recent form position him as the clearer favorite in this early-round clay encounter, where ranking and match toughness often decide outcomes at the ITF level.
