The 29-year-old Swiss left-hander brings a stronger overall record on the surface and prior Challenger-level exposure. Kuan-Shou Chen, an 18-year-old Taiwanese junior, has generated momentum through upsets of Matsuda and Jasika plus a straight-sets quarterfinal victory over Chung, benefiting from home support and strong recent hard-court results in the region.
