This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).

Republican Jefferson Shreve, the incumbent, secured the nomination after defeating a primary challenger and faces Democrat Cynthia Wirth in the November general election. The district's consistent Republican voting patterns, including Shreve's 2024 margin above 60 percent, combined with nonpartisan ratings classifying the seat as safe or solid Republican, underpin trader consensus around a commanding GOP edge. Primaries concluded in May with limited subsequent shifts in candidate positioning or external events. Potential challenges include significant national political realignments, late-cycle scandals or health issues affecting the incumbent, or unexpectedly elevated Democratic turnout that narrows the historical margin.
