This market will resolve based on the highest temperature recorded in the 'Daily Observations' table on Weather Underground, not the figure displayed in the 'Day High & Low' summary section; in the event of any discrepancy between the two, the Daily Observations table shall be the primary resolution source not the Day High & Low section. This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Taipei Songshan Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 2 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Taipei Songshan Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/tw/taipei/RCSS. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Latest forecast models for Taipei on September 2 point to a daytime high in the low-to-mid 30s Celsius, shaped by persistent subtropical moisture, easterly flow, and high humidity that limits radiative heating. Multiple short-range guidance runs show highs clustered near 29–32 °C under partly cloudy to overcast skies with scattered showers or thunderstorms, consistent with the climatological pattern of September’s monsoon trough and frequent convective activity. Urban heat-island effects in the Taipei basin can add 1–2 °C locally during peak insolation, while any reduction in cloud cover or rainfall would allow temperatures to edge toward 33–35 °C. Current model consensus favors the lower end of that range because of elevated precipitable water and easterly winds that promote marine-layer moderation. Traders appear to be weighting the upper tail of ensemble spreads and recent warm anomalies, producing the observed market concentration on 33–35 °C outcomes. The next official Central Weather Administration (CWA) guidance updates and real-time observational trends through the evening of September 1 will be the key near-term catalysts.
