This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Singapore Changi Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 26 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=wsss To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Recent official outlooks and short-range model guidance point to a daily maximum temperature in Singapore on August 26 most likely falling in the 31–33 °C range under prevailing southwest monsoon conditions. Persistent southeasterly to southwesterly flow favors localized afternoon thundery showers, which increase in coverage and intensity on many days and tend to limit peak heating through cloud cover, evaporative cooling, and reduced insolation. The Meteorological Service Singapore’s fortnight outlook (issued mid-August) assigns the highest probability to maxima of 33–34 °C but explicitly notes the potential for 35 °C on isolated days when showers are less widespread; however, updated guidance and several global models now highlight a 60–80 % chance of storms on the 26th, shifting consensus toward slightly lower values. Recent observations reinforce this positioning: daily maxima through mid-to-late August have frequently reached 33–34.3 °C when convection is suppressed, yet have been held near or below 32 °C on days with earlier or more organized showers. With only 48 hours remaining, the key variables are the timing and areal extent of convective initiation and any revisions in the 00–12 UTC model runs. Higher outcomes (34 °C+) remain possible if showers remain scattered or delayed, while sub-31 °C readings would require unusually early or widespread rainfall. Market-implied odds therefore reflect the balance between climatological monsoon-driven warmth and the tempering effect of expected convection, with the 31–32 °C bin carrying the largest combined probability.
