This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the San Francisco International Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 23 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=ksfo To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
Persistent marine layer and onshore sea breezes continue to limit daytime heating in San Francisco, keeping the highest temperature likely near the 70–73°F range that dominates current market-implied odds. National Weather Service guidance points to a high around 72°F under mostly sunny skies, consistent with recent August observations of mid- to upper-60s readings amid frequent low clouds and stable atmospheric conditions. These factors, typical for the region’s climatology where August averages hover near 69°F, position the 72–73°F and 70–71°F bins as the strongest consensus outcomes while reducing chances for warmer thresholds. Updated model runs and any late-day clearing could still influence the final official reading at the primary reporting station.
