This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Marcos A. Gelabert Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 26 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=mpmg If NOAA data is unavailable or missing for the observation period, Weather Underground will be used as the secondary resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Trader sentiment centers on 31–33°C as the most probable range for Panama City’s (Panama) daily maximum on August 26, 2026, with 32°C holding the clearest edge at nearly 49% implied probability. This positioning reflects August climatology in the region, where average daily highs reach approximately 32°C amid peak wet-season conditions driven by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). Persistent moisture and convective activity typically produce scattered thunderstorms that moderate peak heating, keeping most days from exceeding 33–34°C while rarely dropping below 30°C. Recent model guidance and near-term observations support this cluster: forecasts indicate highs near or slightly below the long-term mean (around 28–31°C) due to expected cloud cover and precipitation, yet historical August records show frequent attainment of 31–33°C on days with partial clearing. The market’s heavy weighting toward 32°C captures the balance between typical insolation-driven warmth and the cooling influence of tropical moisture, with lower-probability tails (≤30°C or ≥34°C) reflecting the narrower historical variance around this mean. No major anomalies such as suppressed convection or unusual ridging appear in current data to shift the distribution significantly.
